WordPress更新系统使用主题/插件目录名称/主文件作为用于检查更新的插件。
这意味着你可以更改style.css中的值, 并且仍然可以检查和执行更新(只要目录名称保持不变)。
另一方面, 这种更改存在两个问题：
- 这些值将在每次更新后恢复。
- 这是不道德的。你不是该主题的作者, 也不是你的主题, 因此, 你不应该让客户考虑其他问题。而且, 如果该主题属于GPL, 则违反其许可。
但是…你可以(并且应该)创建一个子主题, 然后可以在其中放置任何所需的信息。
